Question 1991 Cutlass Calais Vin "U," can i use 1986 Fiero 2.5L Pistons (Interchangability?)

Hi All! This will soon be my favorite Board.. my 1991 Oldsmobile Cutlass Calais has developed a Hole in teh Piston.. but i love my car.

Real Quick:

182,000 Miles
1) 1988 TH-126C Transmission with 82,000 Miles, now 90,000 Miles
2) 1989 Pontiac grand Am 2.5L Head

Latest Issue: Hole in Piston... Car has Head removed.

I have found a "Dismantled" 1986 Pontiac Fiero Camshaft, Crankshaft, Rods, and Pistons. I wonder if i can use the -PISTONS- in the 1991 Calais, and have the mechanic bolt THAT Block back in, then put the Head back on? I guess... "Interchangability" of the 1986 Fiero Block Parts with my 1991 (with the 1989 grand Am Head on it) to get me back running, asi see the Hole in the Piston?

My mechanic is charging $550 Labor, but i wonder if i CAN use these 1986 Fiero -Pistons-and put it all BACK, maybe even with the 86 Block.. or does it all go BACK in the 1991 Block?

First Post.. Need guidance.. Thanks folks!!!

Cool

oh btw.. the 1986 Fiero had the "Iron Duke" in it, i will confirm. "Tech4" i believe, Wiki lists it as same "Application", part that makes no sense to me is "gear Drive" vs. "Timing Chain" (I have Vin "U")... Thanks, id LOVE to use these Iron Duke parts to fix my car, even if only "Pistons!"
