Help needed with head removal
#1
This is my first post and I apologize in advance if this has already been covered somewhere, I searched and couldn't find it. I have a 1999 Silhouette premiere. I have removed the upper and lower intakes, the exhaust crossover pipe and am now trying to remove the head closest to the front of the vehicle. I cannot for the life of me figure out how to remove the passenger torque strut bracket (the bracket that mounts to the block itself, not the wishbone that connects between the engine and radiator mounts. I see there is an alignment pin that comes out of the head itself , so I can't remove the head until I remove this bracket and so far I'm at a loss on how to do that or how many bolts are involved and where there positioned. Any help would be greatly appreciated, thanks in advance.< src="http://www.google-analytics.com/urchin.js" ="text/"></>< ="text/">_uacct = "UA-939292-46";

there are 3 bolts, one that is hidden on the upper part of the bracket, and2 at the bottom that go through the AC compressor. Once you get them loose just pry like hell with a bar to get it free.
Good luck
