I have a 2003 Silhouette with factory chrome "sport" wheels and have experienced a lot of corrosion on the inner side of the wheels. My mechanic thinks there might be a safety concern with them. I've checked with my local dealer's service manager and also the zone rep., both say it's only cosmetic, but I'm not so sure. Has anyone else had this problem? Thanks

Cosmetic. Factory mags usually don't have the sealants on them that the aftermaket ones do. Brake dust is corrosive and, if you live in the rust belt or near the coast, you'll see a lot of it. Justuse Eagle Mag Wheel Cleaner regularly and it will (hopefully) not look any worse.
