I inherited a motorcycle trike project about 2 years ago. The person who gave it to me passed away before he could tell me what year or model of Oldsmobile he had used. All I know is that it was an Olds, front wheel drive V8. The engine, I was told is good, so it's worth pursuing. The only numbers I have been able to get from the motor/transmission are the following:

I believe it's a big block, I read that if the width between the valve covers is 14" it's a big block. It's just at 14"

Here are the #'s

409/147 On both sides

7A by #1 (i think #1, it's the front drivers side cylinder)

The transmission had a plate with the following numbers if this helps

81 AK 7620

<BR style="PAGE-BREAK-BEFORE: always; mso-special-character: line-break" clear=all>

There is a greenToro trike in Maine.

Iread somewhere that somebody used a 1966 or 67Toronado 425 V-8 and drivetrain for a trike
