My 72 cutlass had factory air that has been long since removed. (not by me). Ive thought about getting the non ac blower housing and just having heat. Does anyone have any experience or information on the swap? I'm missing all of the a/c housing assembly and related components. I know I will need to get the blower resistor and some other components. Any thoughts?

The hole in the firewall is larger on an AC car, so you'll have to go with an aftermarket cover. They're on ebay and, from what I've heard, they are good quality.

Or you can do what I did and find a parts car that had a sealed system and replace it all at the same time.
