cowl tag # does not match vin# on dash

cowl tag # does not match vin# on dash
Just checked cowl tag under hood and starts out with 344 but every number after that does not match vin# on dash. # on dash matches title, Cowl tag looks like factory rivets. Should I be concerned ?
