i got my 1972 cutlass about three months ago. all original with few hail dents and minimal rust. it has a 455 in it and i want to make it into a 442. i know the numbers wont match but this is what i have to work with. any suggestions?

In 1972, the 442 was not a seperate model. It was just an options package.


Although there is some bad info mixed in, the FAQ at www.442.com will give you a good start.

thanks for the info. all i really want or "need" to do now is get a posi and some gears. i took it to the strip just to get some starting numbers and i ran a 14.5. not sure if your into the whole racing thing?
