Default 2003 Alero Replacement radio wiring harness

Has anyone replaced the factory radio in a 2003 Alero, and not had to spend over $100 to keep the safety chimes working? Is anything else, besides the door/seatbelt/headlights left on/keys in ignition, affected by using a cheaper wiring harness that does not keep the chimes working?

I don't mind losing the chimes, I just want to be sure no other systems are affected.

Thanks!

Low fuel, or I think low tire pressure will make it chime. There are probably other warnings as well. Aside from losing all chimes, though, you will not affect other systems.

All warning chimes will be lost but the systems wont be affected. I think Metra makes a plug that lets you keep the chimes that costs around $30, I think.
