I have a 2000 Olds Alero, 3.4L w/ 80,000 miles. When I presss the brake pedal down, I here air noise. I had originally thought that the master cylinder was bad,so I replaced it and bled the entire system. This did not help the problem. I am now suspecting the power booster to be bad. The engine almost stalls when the brake pedal is applied also.

Any thoughts?

I THINK BRAKE BOOSTER IS A GOOD GUESS. LOOK FOR HOSES NOT HOOKED UP TO THE MASTER CYLINDER BOOSTER. GOOD LUCK..
