Where is the fuel filter located on a 2001 Oldsmobile Alero 6 cylinder? tnx..

i have a 1999 alero,, and its fuel filter is located right under the fuel tank aft of a black box.

yeah it should be on the driver side right about where the rear tire is. they are pretty easy to replace. you will need i believe a 20mm and 16mm wrench for the one side, the other end has a clip that you squeeze and the line will pop off.

Pull the fuse first, then try to start the car. This will depressurize the line, and reduce the gas leakage when you do remove the filter. Also, wear some goggles or something, it is not fun getting gas in your eyes!
