Suggestions For Brakes & Rotors? Anyone Overhaul?
After driving other vehicles, especially newer ones, I’m not quite happy with the responsiveness of my brakes. My Alero is also currently suffering from warped rotors, as my car jerks passengers forward at times in the wavy grooves of the braking system.
I’d like to get some really good rotors and really good pads that would solve this problem for good or somehow, overhaul the whole thing.
Anyone ever done this with their Alero or anyone have any suggestions? The brakes don’t exactly “Stop on a dime” and its starting to bother me.

I have heard nothing but good about there rotors. Mate those with some http://www.ebcbrakes.com/Index.html brake pads and you will stop on a dime. A brake fluid flush wouldn't hurt either.
If you really really want good stopping power you could always get some dual piston Corvette calipers. They will bolt right up with f-body caliper brakets and Impala rotors. The downside is you would have to have at least a 17" wheel. If you want more info on this let me know, I can get you all the part # to do it but it wont be cheap. For all the brake parts it will be about $600-$700. Then you gotta get the wheels that will clear the bigger caliper.

If your doing it yourself it can be a pain in the *** unless you have a one person brake bleeder or have someone pump the brake petal for you.
If you take it to a shop they usually have a machine the hook up the master cylinder and 4 suction hoses that hook up to the bleeders.

Brake flush is done just like you are bleeding the brakes, just keep doing it until you see the fluid change color.
F-body brakes will result in a softer pedal due to the larger fluid volume required to fill the dual-piston calipers. You will also not see a great increase in stopping power.
