when should you replace the chain?? Just replace when the water pump goes out?? I have 130,000 miles

check your owners manual for this information , i think you are way overdue , be especially careful to perform this service as a timing chain can kill a perfectly good engine. i mean kill it as replace it not repair it. dont ignore this service.

Hi, my timing belt just broke! I was in the middle of the intersection, making a left hand turn, and my car stopped. Luckaly, the oncoming traffic was paying attention and stopped. The belt broke, and damaged the pistons and other valves. The dealer said it would cost $5,000 to fix. He also said my 2002 is worth $200... I would get yours checked out. You have a lot of miles on the car. I only had 40,000 when this happened to me. Good luck!
