Hi folks, I have a 96 aurora that just recently the dash board gages and DIC stop working. All the dash lights work and the lights on the DIC are working but just no gages. This is an intermittent problem that while I am driving they all might start working (this hasoccured maybe 2 times in the last month). I removed the instrument cluster and checked the pinouts for good grounds and the 12 v supply and all is ok. I also checked the fuel and oil pressure reading pinouts on the connector and they also are giving me a true reading, but nothing on the gages.


I am wondering if the signals go to the DIC first then to the instrument cluster or from the cluster then to the DIC?


I have the GM service manual and still cannot figure this out. Please help with any info you can supply.

In case anyone was wondering, I replaced the instrument cluster with a used one and all is good!!
