1968 Cutlass not getting fuel to fuel pump
I just got finished installing a th350 transmission into my '68 Cutlass that was originally a standard. I tried starting it for the first time in 5 months and I am getting no fuel to the pump. I remove the line from the fuel.pump on in and out hoses and I am getting nothing. I have not tested the pump but those pumps usually don't go out often. I did have it jacked up from the front for a pretty long time and I don't know if that may have harmed any parts of the sending unit...any ideas on how to approach this problem?...I did spray some starting fluid in the care and it fires right up but then dies due to fuel starvation and the clear fuel filter is dry as a bone...

Check the rubber lines ate the tank for rot. They are 44 years old after all. Then start going over the hard line. You could have a hole somewhere and the pump just can't suck the fuel because of it. The other option is the pump is bad and you just need to replace it.
