Fuel pump will not shut off - ’89 Cutlass

I just replace the oil sending switch and now the fuel pump continues to run when I shut off the engine. Is this caused by air in the cavity where the oil sensor screws into. Thanks, for any insight.

Yeah when my ECU started to fail ..and then i noted the fuel pump followed working ...it could be
