I recently purchased a 1989 Cutty with 50,697 original miles on it. Aside from my water pump that will be replaced soon, the engine and transmission seem to be in great shape with no leaks! I know that the tranny was supposed to be flushed at 15,000 miles, but should I have it flushed next week? My old man told me not to have this done because he never had the tranny flushed in his 1988 Oldsmobile Cutlass Supreme that he bought brand new and owned for about 10 years. Please let me know.

 

i own an 88 and a 89 supreme sl and i never flushed my tranny just check it for medal shavings and if its not red or a shade of red i would have it flushed
