Default 91 cutlass ciera leaking coolant/Water?

Okay, we replaced the water pump on a 1991 cutlass ciera, with a 3.3 V6 engine, gasket and pump were brand new. Well, when I put water in the radiator and reservoir it leaks. I was thinking that I didn't bolt in the water pump secure enough, I checked the hoses and everything that coolant (or water in this case) could be leaking from, and so far everything looks in proper order. We even put RTV sealant on the gasket when installing the new water pump. I need as much help as I can get, I want my car running in the worse way. Any help offered would be greatly appreciated.

Where is it leaking from? If it's the water pump, you may have a bad new one.

That is what I am trying to determine. Though I may have bolted the new one down wrong (or just not tight enough.) I will try that first and foremost, and get back on here with any update.

Where is it actually leaking from?

In my case it's the radiator core where it fits into the tanks, you may want to check similar places.

I seem to have a similar problem, although i have not replaced mine recently. The leak I'm checking out today is directly under the alternator and it's just pissing rad fluid, but i'm hoping it's just a cracked tube. I'll tell you later what i've found.

Ah, once I had got my radiator fixed and added anti-freeze to the water the dang water-pump seal started leaking - and it's right under the alternator, worth a check.
