Default heater troubles

I just bought a 1987 olds cutlass supreme and the blower motor does not come on. I checked it with a hot wire and it works I also checked it at the relay and took the cap off it and used a screwdriver to complete the circuit and that also worked. So i guess the switch must ground the relay, but what is wrong with mine??

Have you checked the blower motor or the blower resistor?

Most blower motors are constant power and switched ground. The ground is regulated by a blower resistor (giving you 4 speeds). Check if you have power and ground to the motor, if you do it's a bad motor, if not, look at resistor, or switch.
