Ive got an 84 hurst olds. i was wondering if i could take all of the smog control stuff off of it. it has the 5.0L 307. any info would be appreciated

 

Not sure of the state laws. In Ontario Canada you are not allowed to remove the smog control. However, I know you loose horse power with the smog control on. You can however, leave the smog contol on but make it empty.... Like blow all the beads out of the catalatic converter and hope to God no one notices it. We still have to have an emmision test in Canada for cars over 20 years old. I have a 1988 cutlass with a big problem with e -test that failed and have to put a pile of cash into the smog test..
