I just bought a 91 Cutlass Ciera with 136,000 miles on it for a second car. The car has the 3.3 liter engine. Today when I moved the car in the drive way the the brake went to the floor and the brake idiot light on the dash came on. When I got out there was a mustard yellow fluid under the driver front portion of the car. Am I correct that this is brake fluid? Is this most likely due to a blown line or what? Are there any common issues with the brakes on this model?

FIRST AND FOREMOST DONT TAKE ANY UNNESSARY CHANCES DRIVING THE CAR. IT COULD BE A LEAKING CALIPER OR A LOOSE FITTING OR A LEAKING BRAKE LINE. USE EXTREME CAUTION AND GET THE CUTLASS TO A REPUTABLE GARAGE OR DEALERSHIP. DONT RISK YOUR OR YOUR FAMILYS SAFETY.

I had it towed to a mechanic today. It did not leave the driveway once that happened. I will change the pads but other than that the brakes are a system I will not touch.

Brake work great now. It was a blown front line.
