Default 89 Olds 88 Speed Sensor Location

So, I have a Royale/Brougham 3.8 ltr Automatic. Recently my Speedometer/odometer/cruise control went out and I got a constant Serv. Eng. Soon light.

Questions:

1. Where is the Speed sensor located?
2. Would this give me a Serv. Eng. Soon light?
3. Can you access this module w/o a lift or ramps?

Much obliged to anyone who can help.....

Since these cars didnt have abs or traction control, the speed sensor is probably located within the transmission. Look for a thick stiff cable that plugs strait in, sort of looks like tv coaxial cable. That shouldn't set off your SES light. I'd have AutoZone scan it to start.
