I have a 455 and Transaxle from a 69 Toronado mounted in the bed of my pickup. It has the "C" heads, stock low pro iron intake with a worn out quadrajet, and that's about it. What can I do to get more power and fuel economy out of it (if possible). I have no idea of the stock compression, horsepower, torque or anything, but I know it feels slow right now (I blame the carb). I know edelbrock make an intake, there are cams available, and the world is full of carbs. Any suggestions at all would be great. Thanks!

Also, it has the stock ugly valve covers. I've seen chrome stamped ones, but are there other choices available? Finned aluminum or something?Edited by: muddpile
