IDing a tranny on a 1983 307

on the top of the bellhousing is stamped C4, other than that it looks like it
could be a th350, 250 or something. i need to hose it down since it is
covered in baked on oil to look for more pn's

also trying to ID the rear end it has some white writing painted on the gears
but some of its worn away. the carrier its self looks very small for being on
a lesabre, its certainly an open diff

Easiest way to ID a transmission is to look at the shape of the pan. http://www.nastyz28.com/chevy-transm...ntification.ph pis a Ch*vy guide, but the transmission pan info is the same.


As to the rear gears, rotate one tire twice while counting the turns of the driveshaft (holding one wheel).
