442 question

I am looking at buying a 72 olds cutlass.. it is the 350 2 barrel version. it has 442 emblems on it.. did olds make a 350 442 version?? because it is a 72 the vin does not have that category

They did. It was an "appearance package" so it could be ordered with any V8 in 72.
The only way to know for sure if it's actually a 442 would be to find the build sheet.

Sounds like a squirrel's nest to me. Depending on where you live, it could actually be an eagle or large hawk's nest but it doesn't sound deep enough.
