55 olds starter motor

have a 55 olds with a 324ci and need to replace the starter motor , will a starter out of a 59 olds with a 371ci fit as a replacement as this is the only one i can source .

Only 1954 & 1955 Oldsmobile starters are a direct fit replacement. 1956 Oldsmobile starters will fit and work but you may have to change the solenoid.
