Hey everyone. I just registered now. I am looking for information. I found a 1969 Olds 98 2dr hardtop for sale that I am interested in. It has a rebuilt 455. The problem is the tranny needs rebuilt. I was wondering if it used a 350 or 400 turbo, or if olds used their own trans back then. Any info would be appreciated.

Thank you

Ted.

My father had a '69 Olds Delta 88 with the base, 2 bbl 455 and it had a T-Hydro 400. I know it for a fact; because I remember dropping the pan and changing the filter and fluid.

Damn strong engine and transmission, as I recall.
