My parents have a '76 Custom Cruiser they bought new in Sep. of '75 and they are pretty meticulous about maintenance. I live 1900 miles away so I am not much help but my dad said he took the car to the local Chevy dealer last week to get the heater core replaced. He ended up picking up the car this week, basically untouched, because they said they had to take the whole dash out to change the heater core. I've never looked that closely under the dash but it doesn't sound right to me. Does anyone out there have any experience with heater core replacement on a 1976 Olds Custom Cruiser so I can relay it to my dad? Thanks for your time.
