My Intrigue has been in and out of the shop since Dec 18th. I originally took it in for preventive maintenance (waterpump replacement 114,000 mi). The car ran fine when I took it in, but now they can't get it to stop overheating. They've done and checked pretty much everything: replaced thermostat, checked cooling fans, had radiator flushed, did two different head gasket checks, installed additional bleeder valves in the lines to prevent air lock, filed the radiator neck (to allow better seal), replaced radiator cap. The car does not overheat when idling, but driven at 2k rpm or higher for extended drive will overheat. Any suggestions?????

EXACTLY HOW MUCH TEMPERATURE DOES IT RISE TO ?????? IF YOU DIDNT HAVE A PROBLEM BEFORE TAKING IT TO THE SHOP WHY WOULD YOU HAVE A PROBLEM NOW. SOUNDS LIKE THE SHOP HAS A PROBLEM WITH PARTS OR TECHNICIAN. IF IT NEEDED ADDITIONAL BLEEDER VALVES GM WOULD HAVE INSTALLED THEM. I OWNED A 99 INTRIGUE AND THE ONE BLEEDER VALVE ON THE THERMOSTADT HOUSING WAS ENOUGH. ONCE I BLED THE SYSTEM I DIDNT HAVE ANY MORE PROBLEM. LAY THE PROBLEM IN THEIR LAP.....

The temp gauge topped out! The shop is taking the car to the GM dealership to have them look at it. I told them they're responsible for it now.

MIGHT WANNA TAKE THIS SHOP OFF YOUR CALL FIRST LIST. WHAT A TERRIBLE EMBARRASSMENT FOR ANY GARAGE TO HAVE TO TAKE A CUSTOMERS CAR TO A DEALERSHIP.
