I have a 83 Cutlass Supreme and when i put the A/C fan switch on HIGH it turns off. I have replaced the switch and it still has the same problem.. Can somsone give me an idea to whats wrong. Someone said trace the red wire from the switch, its a bad connection. but i cant trace it.

I'm just spitballing here...on earlier Oldsmobiles, there was a high speed fan relay on the firewall. If that went bad, it would run on every speed except high.


Try your local library and see if they have a book of wiring diagrams or shop manuals in their reference section. As a last resort, get a Chilton's or Haynes manual...but ONLY as a last resort! Those things are pretty bad.
