Tranny or Engine
#2
You know if its a fuel problem if the fault never surfaces say 1/2 tank or not. Then, its probably a faulty fuel guage indication or clogging fuel filter, maybe the strainer over the electric fuel pump most likely in the fuel tank. Either way. Draining the fuel tank to empty and checking calibration to guage would be my first move.

Pleased you concur
Please let me know how you make out mate. I hope your troubles are over or will be soon. I just got a 10,000 lb gorrila off of my back with my 93 LHS trans going into Limp mode or fail safe almost everyday. All I had to do was turn the key off once or twice for a minute or two and continue on my way normally. Turned out to be the trans control module ($50) at the junk yard and my trans mech was giving me the slip cause he really didn't want to mess with it. After picking his brain I read everything I could find and came to that concluision thank God. Even a Squirel gets a nut now and then right? Good Luck Don
