2000 Intrigue stops intermittently
The car goes dead when driving down the road. There is abolutely no warning. It cranks right back up and runs fine till it happens again. It's my wifes car so I may not know all the details. She doesn't think it happens at high speeds on the highway, only when putting around town. She had our backyard guy change some filters and other tune up stuff. I haven't talked to him to get a list yet. At first she thought it was fixed but it has happened twice since that.
I'm hoping this is a common proble witha certain module or something. Im just too old to work on it and we don't really have cash to go to the dealers. Any help I can get here will be appreciated.
Iwas going to do some searching but it looks likethe site, or my computer may have a problem.

i have a 99 intrigue that had a similar problem. if you happen to find this reply 4 years later
my issue turn out to be a short in a wire harness. we struggled with it for years.
i found a bare wire in the wire hardness I show in the picture attached.
when the engine jostled just right it would hit a black metal bracket, short out and the engine would stall.
once fixed we never stalled again
maybe when the engine is running wiggle that wire and others in that area around and see if it stalls
