Hello, I used to have a problem starting my Intrigue it is a 2000 w/ 146,000 miles w the 3.5, it would take several (from one to over 100) tries turning the key to get it started, it got so bad that I had welts on my finger from turning the key over and over again, well replacing the starter solved that problem. I however have a new problem, after the starter was replaced I noticed that even after you turn the key to off and take it out the red light indicating that the park position is engaged is on (you know P R N D 1 2, well the P) which I take to mean that the power to the ignition is not shutting down, this results in a dead battery within a few hours. I now disconnect the battery every time that I won't be driving the car within an hour or so. Anybody have any clue as to the cause of this? and even better a solution?
