Hey, I have a 98 Intrigue, been a pretty good car for me since I got it well today it took a dive on me. I was driving down the road and I heard a loud ticking sound and then my car shut down, we put it in neutral thinking that the car will turn back on well it didnt. We got it parked and the motor was smoking bad. We checked the fluids and everything looked fine. I tried to restart the car and it turned on but the ticking sound was still there and really loud, louder than before the car shut off on me. I cant think what could be wrong with my car. I dont know what could be causing the ticking sound, any advice will be thanked alot. I have 3 kids and need to get my car back up and running. Thanks
