My 2000 Intrigue just cleared 100,000 miles. I went to have the plugs changed (as this is the first time it is supposed to be done) and found the manufacturer had seated one of the spark plugs wrong and I have to now replace the whole head ($ 2000!!!). Shouldn't the manufacturer be reponsible for this. This must be why the warranty expires before you ever have to change the spark plugs.

They have tried to pull the plug and can not get it out without breaking it off. Can a machine shop still do this?Edited by: Horatio

Instead of replacing it, take it to a good machine shop and have them put a helicoil in it. Less than $50.
