Default Stereo hookup

I recently bought a JVC KD-R710 to put in my 98 GLS. I hooked everything up just fine, I turned the car on, the JVC lights up, Im able to pick a radio station, edit any settings I want, but then there is no sound.

I called JVC, they were no help, so then I got to thinking that

1. there might be a stock amp in the car, which I doubt, or
2. The car has the steering wheel assembly to augment and decrease the volume and change the radio station. So I was thinking perhaps that was interfering with the sound.

If anyone knows of a solution I would be greatly appreciative, thank you

nevermind I got it, didn't realize this car has a stock amplifier, so I just had to hook up the wires for that and it works great now

I don't quite remember, I think I had 2 sets of wires that plugged into the same connector, If you mean you have two different molex connectors, you might have a CD changer?

Make sure you buy a cheap wire harness from an auto store and you should be able to figure it out.
