Hi keb3468
Had a similiar problem a few weeks ago. The clutch mechanism that is attached to the wiper motor prevents the motor from being burned out when there is no movement in the wiper arms. Probably have to replace the clutch assembly. It is located under a couple of plastic shields below the windshield. Remove the larger piece that goes the full width of the car, then go to the driver side and look for a smaller cover that covers the wiper motor. On the end of the shaft of the motor you will find the clutch mechanism. Go to your local GM dealer and get the parts department to print out a schematic of the wiper system. That will make it easier to locate. Check the prices for the part at the dealer them check at you local jobber., you might save some money at the jobber. Takes about an hour all together to get to the clutch and replace it.
