Wipers will not park

Windshield wipers are now parking in the vertical position right in front of the driver.


Is this electrical or mechanical problem.

most likely a electrical issue, there is a park switch that is in the wiper motor unit, it is not servicable. seen this issue many times. advise...I said most likely, you will have to pull wiring diagrams and do some testing to be for sure.

Thanks for the reply.


Turned out to be the clutch mechanism on the end of the motor. The electrical shop that fixed it said they do a lot of taxis with the same set up and ice gets in there and wont allow the wiper arms to move so the weakest link,,, the clutch breaks. Cost 194.00 parts and labour.
