New-Old Olds Owner
Hey all! Just joined to network with other Oldsmobile owners. I recently got my hands on a 1977 Oldsmobile Cutlass Supreme with the Buick 231 V6.
In the process of fixing her up. Engine runs pretty darn good - needs a carburetor rebuild and some more tweaking/adjustments. Needs some cosmetic work (seats ripping, paint faded/cracked, rust spots, landau roof ripped/dirty, weather stripping worn/cracked/missing, etc.) and mechanicals (needs new vent blower fan, exhaust system, hinges worn, radio busted - usual old-car stuff!)
I added a couple of pictures of it to my profile's photo album/gallery. Any leads on parts would be appreciated.
This was kinda a "mid-life crisis-type" purchase - my first "teenager car" was a 1978 Olds Cutlass Supreme (with the gawd-awful 260 V8 - gas consumption of a big block, performance of a 4-cylinder!) When this '77 came available, I had to re-live "the old days" and picked it up for $1G (hey, that's CHEAP for a running heap in New York!)
Anyhoo, hope I can swap stories with you all in the future! :-)
