2000 olds sihloette having probs with the wipers.....motor was replaced and module for the arms....i beileve the computer was checked and yet they still go oup and stay in the up position.....sometimes they go down tho....does any1 have ideas on what i could do to fix the problem....gotta sell this car

I know the problem well, I had the same thing on my 99. The wiper transmission is the problem. It is composed of all the control arms and the cam that mounts on top the motor. The only thing that is wrong is a small metal tab that causes the cam to reverse and stow your wipers is worn out. You have to replace the whole setup unless someone can weld you a new tab on there.

I am having a similar problem on my 2000 silhouette. Intermitant so they some times stay up for a day or so then they will go back to normal. Not a serious problem but irritating at best. Sometimes when they stay up I can turn them on fast and turn them off after a few swipes and they go back to normal. So not a real bad problem. must be a glitch somewhere. Maybe I will find it one day
