Default possible fuel problems

My 99 alero 4 cyl. has just recently started to stall out when i let my foot off the gas for corners and such. I am thinking that it is either the fuel filter or the fuel pump. Anybody have similar problems or know what i can check first before i do the fuel pump?

Fuel pump/filter problems usually show up when you are accelerating. Does it idle smoothly and at a normal rpm? If not it may be due for plugs or plug wires. The Throttle Position Sensor may be going (or several other possible sensors). The Throttle Body could be dirty.
