ok, got a 02 Alero.. lately when it has been 20 or below, I will start the car and let it warm up for 5 to 10 minutes then put the car into gear. When I give it gas the car will tac up to 3k before it even starts to move, then it will roll very slowly if at all. I then have to wait another 10 min for the transmission to warm up before i can actually drive. Could this be caused by low transmission fluid? I know its not good at all for it to tac that high and not move...

is the trans low in fluid? has the trans been serviced ? how many miles since last service? all of these factors can cause problems and premature transmission death.

this sounds like the same problem I had before I had mine rebuilt.mine did it while I was driving though.it sounds like you need a rebuild.now mine did the samething.I was also told that it had to do with my differential.there is a pin that will snap that hold the trannie and diff together.good luck!
