please help!! 97 olds aurora will not start when the security light is on. when thelight pops off then car starts right up its been doing that for months, and the wait in between the security light popping off usually run anywhere from a minute to an hour. WHY? what can i do?

 

Had the same problem with my Mazda/Ford pickup. Your key has a security chip in it. Takethe key to a GM dealer and get a duplicate cut.
