I am looking at a 1996 Aurora with 220,000 miles. Interior is in pretty good shape, everything electronically seems to work. Problem, guy says it needs a front passenger axle but he will only charge me $750 for the car. What does he mean by axle and is it a big expense? Should I walk away?

Thanks!

does the $750 INCLUDE THE AXLE? AT 200+ MILES IT IS NEARLY FINISHED. . ARE YOU GOING TO DRIVE IT DAILY AND HOW MANY MILES?? THESE CARS ARE GREAT, MINE HAS 135K AND RUNS GREAT. IF YOU CAN AFFORD SOME MAJOR REPAIRS AND THE CAR HAS BEEN MAINTAINED THEN MAYBE ITS A OK DEAL. LIMIT THE AMOUNT OF MONEY INVESTED.

Thanks for the info. I decided to forego this Aurora but will probably keep looking for one. Nice car but too many "ifs" and dollars to invest. Thanks again!
