Have a quick question to run by the Cutlass Supreme guys. I have a 1988V62.8. Whiledriving over 35mph,when I slow down a little then speed back up, I often feel a jerk or clunk possibly in thetransmission. Kind of like the transmissionis trying to catch upwith increase of speed. However, this does not happen if I accelerate from aslower speed or from stop. Has anyone experiences anything similar? Oh, I do routinely change the transmission fluid. Thanks for any help. Edited by: sbs4332

My dads 89 3.8L buick does something very similiar, he just drives it in regular drive and not overdrive and it fixes it somewhat. He replaced the tranny and it still does it on the rebuilt tranny, not sure why. It may be related to a sensor or something electronic in his case. Only thing you can really do is just keep driving it until your on the side of the road, Im not a tranny guy myself.
