Drivers Side Window Not Working

My drivers side window stopped working one day, remained that way for about 3 weeks then started working again.....then last week it stopped working again. any ideas why this could be happening? Thanks in advance for any advice!

My driver''s side window got stuck yesterday...I''m so not mechanically inclined (I''m a lady 
) to fix something like this, but it''s something that has to be taken care of ASAP. Exactly how can you take it apart and ''grease'' it? Maybe I can get someone else to do this for me...</font>
