Hi , I am new here, and hope you guys can help.We have 2002 Alero. It really has been a good car with few issues for about 96000 miles. Its had the usual intake seals, and such, but nothing tragic.

Lately a new issue has reared it head. When it is hot outside,(not hot engine) the car will not start. It will crank, the security light goes out after 5 or so seconds, it doesnt flash or anything. it will not start. this again is when the interior is hot. Next I roll the windows down and try it 2 minutes later car will start and off I go.

There are no TSBs on this problem and the car is not throwing any codes. once in a while the trac off lite and service lite comes on. If I shut the car off they do not come back on when i restart it.

Any ideas???

Ooops ,if it matters it is a 3.4 automatic 4dr GL2Edited by: dge479

I would take a look at the plugs. Make sure the gap on them are correct and that they aren''t black.
