P0742 Torque converter solenoid
I bought a 99 Alero for my daughter two months ago. Three days ago it started jerking and CEL came on giving a P0742. I took it to a local tranny place. it turns out the dealership had install the tranny pan gasket wrong, causing the fluid to leak out. He installed a good gasket and a gallon of fluid. now OK.
Wish the tranny had a dippy!
