Anyone have a problem with their 1999 olds intrigue. Ours is having some problems, it stutters when it is going into first gear. Fine after that, and not happening all the time, but we have had a tune up and transmission flushed and it is still doing it 1100 dollars later. Any others have problems with this and any suggestions? HELP

Yes, from stopped at a light and then trying to apply pressure to the gas, it goes and then the Tach goes back down tozero with pressure and then back up while you are pressing on the gas, does not happen on the highway, only in startingfrom a stop and when going slow. They flushed the transmission, but I don't know if that means they changed the transmission fluid and put in a new filter. What do you think?

Thanks

THE TACHOMETER SHOWS THE SPEED OF THE ENGINE ( rpm ) . IF THE TACHOMETER DROPS THIS SAYS THE ENGINE DROPS POWER , NOT THE TRANSMISSION. SOUNDS LIKE YOU HAVE A PROBLEM WITH THE ENGINE NOT THE TRANSMISSION..

MY SUGGESTION WOULD BE TO GO BACK TO YOUR MECHANIC AND EXPLAIN TO HIM AS YOU HAVE TO US THAT THE RPM'S DROP . IF YOU SUGGESTED THE TRANSMISSION WAS A PROBLEM THAT IS THE AREA HE STARTED TO WORK ON FIRST. GOOD LUCK...
